    High School League- Week 2

    Sunday, December 9, 2007, 08:28 PM [General]

After Week 2 and four matches/eight games of bowling, these are your standings.

    High School League Standings

Martins Ferry 4-0 (wins against bridgeport, union local, buckeye local, st.johns)

Union Local 3-1 (wins against st.clairsville, st.johns, bridgeport, losses to martins ferry)

Bridgeport 2-2 (wins against buckeye local, st.clairsville, losses to martins ferry, union local)

St. Johns 2-2 (wins against buckeye local, st.clairsville, losses to union local, martins ferry)

Buckeye Local 1-3 (win against st.clairsville, losses to st. johns, bridgeport, martins ferry)

St. Clairsville 0-4 (losses to union local, st.johns, bridgeport, buckeye local)

Last Thursday was very big for every team in the league as here were the matches. Martins Ferry (3-0) vs. St. Johns (2-1), Union Local (2-1) vs. Bridgeport (2-1), and Buckeye Local (0-3) vs. St. Clairsville (0-3). Anyways, to the matches I bowled in.

May I add last week was outright ridiculous on my part as I had very little bowling skill with terrible scores and the fact I showed my emotions on the lanes. That is a no-no and I feel I cost the team last thursday from going 3-1, but no worries we're in the hunt and next week we have two big matches coming up. The matches from this week.

    First match against St. Clairsville.

I'm not going to lie to you but this is the most pathetic bowling team I've ever witnessed bowl. First and foremost, they have no one instructing them and second, there not good bowlers at all. Consider, we beat them by 532 pins. 532 pins! LOL. give me a break really. Individually, I did alright, my first game was a 201 and my second game was a 177. Lead the team once again to victory with a 378 series and I feel we did alright last tuesday. everyone wasnt really on as expected but heck, we beat them by 532 pins, we did alright. We all knew though that Thursday was going to be a big match for the whole ohio valley conference.

    Second match against Union Local.

I'm still mad at the fact that we lost to a team that didnt deserve that win. I will go on and on about this and you may ignore me but that team was outright not the better team. We, Bridgeport, just completely sucked and I feel horrible about that. First, the two lanes were different patterns and I couldnt find my mark at all. I felt really bad not bowling a 200 and let alone we got beat by 55 pins. Consider, had I hit my average both games, we would of won. Heck, if anyone on our team hit average, we would of won. Anyways, we rallied back alright from a 167 pin deficit in game one and we won the second game and both bakers, yet still lost. Union Local are such crappy sportmans, they didnt want to shake hands, let alone they jumped up and down when they won. Outright wrong in my opinion, but I didnt bowl a good series at all. My games were 149 and 152 and I feel quite embarrassed about it but I'm so prepared to bowl against Union Local again. We should of won and we got upsetted but you know I guess things happen for a reason. We're still 3rd in the league, which is alright, we're in the middle of the pack, but this week coming up, we gotta be going 4-2 after this week. We have a 4-0 team and a 2-2 team were going against, so its do or die for a decent season.

After Week 2 of 10 at St. Clairsville Lanes, I currently have a 182 average, which sucks literally.

    High School League- Week 1

    Saturday, December 1, 2007, 12:02 AM [General]

After Week 1 and two matches/four games of bowling, this is our standings.

    St.Johns 2-0 (wins against Buckeye Local, St.Clairsville)

Martins Ferry 2-0 (wins against Bridgeport, Union Local)

Bridgeport 1-1 (win against Buckeye Local, loss to Martins Ferry)     <---- the team i'm on. lol.

Union Local 1-1 (win against St.Clairsville, loss to Martins Ferry)

Buckeye Local 0-2 (losses to St. Johns, Bridgeport)

    St.Clairsville 0-2 (losses to Union Local, St.Johns)

Anyways, that is nothing to worry about. I'll talk about my team and how we bowled the past two matches.

    First match against Martins Ferry.

Martins Ferry has their own bowling lanes and our pretty much experts to the game of bowling. We are easily the underdogs in this game, and it will truely show it. Tuesday night, I was on and I meant business on the lanes and we bowled against some really good guys. They returned 3 varsity players, 1 reserve player, and a good new guy. As for us, we returned 2 varsity players, 2 reserve players, and a new guy. Anyways to the match.

We got our butts kicked literally in the 2 game series by 146 pins. Thats nothing to brag about, but the main guys held up there end, the inexperienced guys hurt us. I lead the game and both lanes with a 431 series with games of 212 and 219. We also bowled 2 baker games and we didnt do so well but back to the games, i kept aware of the oil patterns and the difference in lanes. I kept a good repeative pattern over and over again. I felt really good out there. Our other two good bowlers, the senior bowled 217 and 199 for a 416 series and our sophomore bowler bowled almost a 400 series. Our other two guys I dont even think they got 300 series. Thats how much depth we dont have.

    Second match against Buckeye Local.

I wont lie to you, I thought we was going to get owned out there, but honestly they weren't good out there at all. They had two guys missing and it showed. We uhh actually beat them by 234 pins surprisingly or not haha. I had a good night, not a great night but I bowled 177 and 171 games and our other senior bowled 233 and a 135 game, eww yes i know but he found his mark the second game. Our sophomore bowled really decent, average around 350 series and our horrible 4th and 5th guy, well lived up to their name, horrible haha. I couldnt find my mark at all, as one land was drier than arizona and the other one was as wet as florida. I had an off night but overall the other guys just really sucked.

After Week 1 of 10 at St. Clairsville Lanes, I currently have a 195 bowling average, yay me!! but next week i'm looking to make it a 200 bowling average and to come away with wins against St.Clairsville and Union Local to boost our league standings. Until then, take care of yourselves reader. Your update brought to you by TiimZ
